<span id="deduplication"></span><h1>¿Cómo funciona la deduplicación?<a class="headerlink" href="#how-does-the-deduplication-work" title="Link to this heading">¶</a></h1>
<p>El proceso de eliminar archivos redundantes y reemplazarlos por enlaces duros NTFS con TreeSize se llama <strong>deduplicación</strong>. Esto reducirá el espacio en disco que está bloqueado por sus archivos duplicados.</p>
<p>En lugar de que cada uno de los archivos ocupe espacio individual en su disco duro, TreeSize elimina todos los archivos duplicados y mantiene solo uno de ellos.</p>
<p>Los archivos que se eliminaron serán reemplazados por enlaces duros, que luego apuntarán a los datos restantes (Ver: <a class="reference internal" href="notesonntfs.html#notesonntfs"><span class="std std-ref">Notas sobre NTFS</span></a>).</p>
<p>Los datos ahora son compartidos por todos los enlaces duros para este archivo, como se muestra en la imagen a continuación.</p>

<p>Estos enlaces duros pueden ser utilizados como cualquier archivo normal. No notará ninguna diferencia, excepto que los datos ahora son compartidos entre los otros enlaces. De hecho, no son diferentes a ningún archivo normal, excepto que no ocupan su propio espacio.</p>

<h2>¿Cuál de los archivos duplicados será reemplazado?<a class="headerlink" href="#which-of-the-duplicate-files-will-be-replaced" title="Link to this heading">¶</a></h2>
<p>Si marca todos los archivos de un grupo de duplicados, TreeSize seleccionará el archivo con la fecha de «Última modificación» más reciente y lo usará como «maestro» para este grupo. Todos los demás archivos serán eliminados y reemplazados por enlaces duros, que apuntan hacia el archivo maestro.</p>
<p>Si desea seleccionar manualmente un archivo maestro, puede dejar uno de los archivos en un grupo de duplicados sin marcar. Este archivo no será reemplazado, sino que se usará como maestro en su lugar.</p>
