<p>Med dette alternativet kan du kontrollere om TreeSize skal sjekke hver fil for å se om den bare er en hardlenke til en annen fil, eller om den inneholder alternative datastreams (ADS). Dette vil resultere i mer nøyaktige resultater for den tildelte plassen, men vil også redusere hastigheten på en skanning.</p>

<p>Du kan bestemme om TreeSize skal følge symboliske lenker og monteringspunkter (se Notater om NTFS for mer informasjon) som peker til andre stasjoner eller mapper på andre stasjoner. Lenker som peker innenfor den skannede katalogen vil aldri bli fulgt for å forhindre sirkulære referanser og at mapper blir telt to ganger.</p>

<p>Dette alternativet vil sjekke for hver fil som ligger på en SharePoint-server, om en eller flere tidligere versjoner av denne filen eksisterer. Disse tidligere versjonene bruker opp ekstra plass på SharePoint-serveren, som som standard ikke er synlig. Hvis du aktiverer dette alternativet, vil TreeSize legge sammen størrelsesverdiene til de tidligere versjonene av en fil og inkludere det i verdien for «tildelt plass».</p>

<p>Bruk dette alternativet for å bestemme om TreeSize skal vise feilmeldinger under skanning. Hvis du for eksempel skanner en nettverksstasjon på en Windows-server og ikke har leseadgang til alle mapper, vil Windows vise en feilmelding for hver ulest mappe. Hvis du ikke ønsker at skanneprosessen skal bli avbrutt av disse meldingsboksene, fjerner du merket for denne avmerkingsboksen.</p>

<p>Gjør det mulig å definere prioriteten som trådene som skanner harddisken kjører med. «Inaktiv» betyr at CPU-en kun vil bli brukt hvis ingen andre tråder bruker den. «Inaktiv» er en god innstilling hvis du vil sikre at en skanning med TreeSize ikke påvirker ytelsen til PC-en eller serveren. Standard- og anbefalt verdi er «lavere prioritet». Å velge en høyere prioritet vil resultere i at skannetrådene har høyere prioritet enn tråden til brukergrensesnittet, noe som kan gjøre brukergrensesnittet uresponsivt under en skanning. Denne innstillingen brukes også for trådene til TreeSize Fil Søk.</p>

<p>TreeSize justerer automatisk antallet tråder til CPU-bruken. Dette alternativet lar deg definere det maksimale antallet tråder som vil bli startet for en skanning. Hvis systembelastningen er høy, kan færre enn det maksimale antallet tråder bli startet.</p>
